Questa settimana il weekend è cominciato sabato sera alle 19..quando dopo una settimana di lavoro siamo arrivati a casa e finalmente ci siamo abbattuti sul divano per la movie night, uno dei nostri passatempi preferiti del weekend.
It was Saturday night this week when we finally arrived home and collapsed on the couch. We decided for a movie night, which is actually one of our favourites for the weekend!
Come vedete ci vogliono svariati elementi: naturalmente cibo, la propria bevanda preferita, film e serie tv! Super8 a molti non è piaciuto (a noi sì) è indicatissimo per la movie night del sabato!
A movie night needs appropriate planning: food, favourite drink, movies and tv series! Lots of people I know didn't like Super8 but we did, and it's recommended for a Saturday night.
La domenica invece è stata dedicata a un evento interessantissimo segnalato dalla Piperita Patty: la cosa che amo del mondo dei blog è proprio la possibilità di condividere e moltiplicare le conoscenze. Eccoci quindi al famoso open day della scuola giapponese di Milano, evento che ho particolarmente apprezzato per l'autenticità e per l'eccellente organizzazione!
On Sunday we took part to an exciting event shared by Piperita Patty: what I love most about blogs is how they help you share knowledge and inspirations. So there we are at the Japanese School of Milan for an open day. Oh my, these Japanese know what organization is! Moreover, the event was a very good way to get in touch with culture.
Al ricco mercatino dell'usato abbiamo preso una gelatiera a 8 euro. Il signore si è premurato di ricordarci che le istruzioni sono solo in giapponese..
At the flea market we got this ice-cream maker for 8 euro. Funny how the seller let us know all the instructions were in Japanese only..
Non c'è che dire, il teh verde è proprio verde.

La mia cosa preferita numero 2: il pestaggio del mochi, che Patty mi ha amorevolmente spiegato. Ogni bimbo pestava il pestello tre volte mentre i signori giapponesi gridavano qualcosa di a me ignoto ma molto efficace.
Favourite thing no.2: mochi smashing, a procedure Patty sweetily introduced me to. Each kids hit the dough with the hammer three times, while all Japanese shouted something mysterious but fascinating..
Cosa preferita numero 1, che perseguiterà i miei sogni gastronomici: i takoyaki! Anche qui mi sono venute incontro le spiegazioni di Patty: sono polpette di polipo, cosparse di scaglie di pesce, salsa e alga. Divine.
Favourite thing no.1, which will haunt my food dreams from now on: takoyaki! Patty was precious here once again, and she told me they are octopus balls with fish scales, dressing and seaweed. Delicious.
